The Sutras, threads that bind and connect
At a time when many people are blossoming - or wish to do so - giving free rein to their artistic passion, it is interesting to be inspired by Zenia's beautiful journey and the beauty of the craftsmanship she offers.
Zenia, can you explain your art, your creations and how it came about?
Although I have a Master's degree in International Business and have been working in the logistics world for over 10 years, I have always been inspired by beautiful fabrics, designs and creativity in general. Every piece we wear says a lot about who we are, so I think it is very important to choose our clothes in a way that reflects our personality and why not, our thoughts and ideas. It is with this in mind that I founded Les Sûtras.
While I was caressing this project, I discovered by chance skilled women workers who were creating beautiful pieces and I had the intuition that I had to bring/unveil their art to the world. In fact, Les Sûtras is a company founded in Luxembourg, which combines delicate creations with artisanal know-how. Each of our products is unique, made with passion and attention. The most interesting aspect of our working concept is that we can personalize each item according to the ideas, designs and requirements of our customers. Furthermore, social responsibility has always been a fundamental value at Les Sûtras. We collaborate and encourage mainly women entrepreneurs. We also share part of our profits to finance the education of children with special needs in India.
How long have you lived in Luxembourg, what is your impression of the country? Is it a source of inspiration?
I have been living in Luxembourg for 12 years and I feel truly at home here. When I arrived, I was fortunate enough to have received tremendous support from the members of my community. Moreover, the population reacted very positively to my business project. One of the interesting things about the country is that the people are authentic. I also appreciate the safety, beauty and tranquility of this place, which are conducive to creativity.
Moreover, the warmth and inclusiveness of this place has led me to learn Luxembourgish and I am now a Luxembourg citizen!
How did your partnership with the Wortshop start?
Following a meeting with one of the persons in charge of the Wortshop, reflections of collaboration were initiated. It's a wonderful experience to work with and for the Wort Shop and I hope that we can continue to collaborate for a long time together.
