The Renert is the emblematic animal chosen by the national poet and novelist Michel Rodange (1827-1876) to express his vision of 19th century Luxembourg society. Inspired by Goethe's "Reineke Fuchs" and the fables of Aesop and La Fontaine, this "national epic" of 14 songs represents a social satire barely masked by metaphors and animal figures, in the Luxembourg language.
Dimensions: 101 cm x 50 cm x 50 cm, 35 kg. Numbered series on 50 copies.
